Matthew Harris spent his early to mid twenties as a professional cricketer in South Africa plying his trade for the Highveld Lions Cricket Franchise. After much deliberation, he joined the business fraternity as a sales consultant for a chemical distribution company in Johannesburg, gaining valuable knowledge in importing and local distribution.

After 3 years in the chemical industry, an opportunity to join Storm Waterproofing Systems arose, one which was taken with both hands. For over 5 years, the education received and experience gained in the waterproofing and construction industry was invaluable. Matthew undertook an Architectural Draughting course and underwent waterproofing training in Italy during this period as well as completing various large scale and smaller scale waterproofing projects.

Matthew has worked alongside major players in the construction industry building and forging strong and trusting relationships along the way. These include WBHO Construction, Group 5, Murray & Roberts, Stefanutti Stocks, Aveng-Grinaker LTA, Abbeydale, Edilcon, Gothic Construction, Giuricich Bros as well as many others.

At the end of August 2016, Matthew decided it was time to move out on his own and to launch MH Waterproofing. His goal is to operate a business built purely on delivering a professional and reliable service to all customers prior, during and post contract while building new, and enhancing existing, relationships through service delivery and reasonable pricing. By employing experienced and skilled staff, MH Waterproofing has set the platform to live up to these high expectations.
